Fairlee Point on the Eastern Shore - Local Information
Fairlee
Point (map) is located on Fairlee Creek between
Chestertown (12 mi.) and
Rockhall (10 mi.), Maryland. Chestertown is the heart of
Kent County, Maryland. Within easy driving distance, you will find great
restaurants
featuring the famous Eastern Shore cuisine. A public boat ramp is conveniently
located less than half a mile from the house. When headed out to the Bay by
boat you pass Great Oak Landing Marina, a full-service marina for sailboats
and powerboats alike. While staying at Fairlee Point you can easily visit
Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge.
Fairlee Creek is a brackish-water, tidal tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.
The house has a great view of the mouth of Fairlee Creek, with Chesapeake
Bay beyond. This results in the best of both worlds, with Fairlee Creek offering
protected water for small boats, water skiing, and jet skis while providing
easy access to the Chesapeake Bay.
